WE HAVE A COYOTE PROBLEM!
The announcement was made, Too busy watching the tortilla run I missed it. RIP Peanut! So happy she got the lions share on her last day with us. I don't have the heart to keep them penned up all the time, I will have to round them up earlier and put the big dog Mack on duty:'(

Since we have lost Peanut Mack has stepped up his duties!. The chickens are only out when the dogs are there, that hasn't changed, but he has now planted himself right by the coop where he can watch the area across the field until I put them away. I have discovered that by waving a tortilla, prime real estate
ReplyDeleteis the area around my feet where they all gather quite eagerly! Really, they do it within seconds! We move strategically down the hill to the coop where the tortilla is divided and consumed, so far a perfect plan!
Tortilla? Hmmmmmmm who would have thought! It's a good way to bring them in.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they would follow a white flag? I think their addiction to white carbs may be a problem! Somebody laid an egg without a shell! All the other ones are beautiful so somebody ate the lions share!Not sure that waving a spinach leaf will do the trick though, might have to return to grapes!
