Hearing that we would again be pounded with rain I took the opportunity enjoy the great outdoors! Samone the concert doll nearly got pecked to death while delivering bits of an english muffin. I spent the good part of an hour waving the remainder of the muffin shouting CHICK,CHICK, CHICK! While 8 chickens swarmed my feet! I can't emphasise enough how hard it is to move rapidly while this is taking place. Eeny went missing while I was out for most of the day and the dogs were on watch! Finally found her half buried in a hole that she had dug under a tree in a remote area. I am trying to round them up in the afternoon to keep them safe, but Eeny has become somewhat of a renegade chicken! Two days in a row she has thrown her beak in the air and claimed her independence causing me to spend more time I can afford chasing her! I might need a chicken net!
